Papa woke up 0910 and Avani woke up around the same time today. Mumma had already arisen at 0745. There was no water supply in the bathrooms - the overhead tank seemed out of water - delayed switching on of the water motor.

Avani had to be taken to the doctor today and since the doctor is available only till 4 pm and the hospital is quite far, Mumma had decided she’d be take the day off at work or work from home for first half. This was true till 0945 when Papa called up the hospital and booked an appointment with the doctor at 1920 today. It turns out Dr, Srinivas Kishore visits a branch of this hospital near Kothaguda in the evening! So Mumma decided to go to office.

Up till now, Avani had played a lot with Mumma in the guest room whose east-facing windows were thrown open to the brilliant sunshine that streamed in. Soon after, once Papa had booked the appointment, Mumma and Avani had breakfast together - semiyaan from 10-10:15 am.

Papa joined them a while later. Mumma started to leave around 11 am when Papa received a call from the bank. The call disconnected suddenly and Papa realized that Mumma was leaving; Avani was crying and was not willing to go to Lakshmi. She had also pottied. It was a sorry sight. :( Papa took Avani from Mumma’s arms and made some weird noises. These brought a smile to the little innocent baby’s face. He took her to the corridor where Mumma kissed Avani and started descending the stairs. Avani said bye cheerfully, happy in Papa’s arms. Once Papa turned back and closed the house door behind him, Avani started looking over her shoulder for Mumma - maybe she realized after the closing of the door that Mumma was not around? It can’t be said. Anyway, Papa tried to keep her happy for a while but Avani wasn’t totally happy.

She cried a lot while her diaper was changed. Papa took her around the house in his arms - Avani’s second most favourite vehicle. :) She had her first 50 ml of milk at 11:26 am. She played around near the balcony door and with Lakshmi. She seemed sleepy but didn’t want to sleep. Finally after Lakshmi gave her to Papa, she drifted to sleep hugging Papa during walking-and-sleeping at 1205. Soliwax was administered at 1220. She woke up slightly grumpy at 12:44 pm. Papa brought her right out near the balcony door. She quickly had her 2nd 50 ml of milk from 1254 to 1303.

Avani got an oil massage where special care was given to her neck folds - started ta 1317. Lakshmi has learnt how to get the massage done without Avani running for the oil bottle. Yes, their eternal love powers through - Avani and her oil bottle. Lakshmi never gets the bottle in Avani’s view and pours the oil on to her palms in small quantity behind her back. Avani bath was quick - no soap or shampoo - done at 1335. She had a quick photo session with Papa. She seemed like 1970s Bollywood actress. :D

Avani had her 3rd 50 ml of milk from 1401-1412. She proceeded to play a lot with her milk bottle.

Around 1430, Avani seemed sleepy but revolted on being coaxed. Papa brought her back out into the living room. She went around and saw the rain in utility area with Lakshmi and continued weeping slightly. With the grey clouds coming in, the brilliantly sunlit day became gloomy.

Avani slept at 1500. It was a quick and simple. Soliwax was administered soon after. Between 1620-1622, quite a few things happened which disturbed the little sleeping baby. Papa was sitting on the couch facing Avani’s floor-bed in the study and coughed at 1620. He quickly ran to pat her back to sleep. She almost woke up. Suddenly Papa felt a sneeze coming and ran to the bedroom, closed the door behind him to muffle the sneeze. Came back out and sat in his original position after patting Avani slightly. Right then, Lakshmi brought him the cut papaya he had asked for. Lakshmi’s anklets were too loud for Avani and she turned around again. No patting help and Avani woke up.

She had her 4th 50 ml of milk till 1450. Lakshmi was cooking dinner. Avani talked with Mumma on the phone a little. Lakshmi left before Mumma arrived. Avani was seated for lunch when Mumma arrived. As usual, Avani gave Mumma a grand welcome. However, since she was tied to her chair, she first cried to explain she wanted to be freed; hugged Mumma and finished her lunch while Mumma-Papa had tea.
