Nani was made Principal of her college yesterday within 6 months of Nana becoming Principal of his college!

Papa watched the Fifa World Cup Semi Finals between Croatia and England (Croatia was surely the better team!) and slept late. He woke up at 7 am, Avani was already up, to let the maid in - asked her to change her in-time to 8 am which didn’t work out. Once back, he helped Avani back to sleep by putting her directly in the horizontal position while seated. She didn’t revolt at all and was ready to go back to sleep. She awoke again at around 08:30 and turned around and slept with her head into Papa’s chest and legs pointed to Mumma’s pillow at 110 degrees from the normal. All were woken up by the bell at 0915 when Lakshmi came in. Mumma asked Lakshmi to cook breakfast pronto - poha and tea - no lunch for Mumma. Avani played in the bed while Mumma prepped up Avani’s breakfast and lunch for Lakshmi to cook.

Avani fed with Mumma after which both got ready for breakfast; Avani had beetroot as her breakfast along with Mumma. Papa sat at the table and Mumma was ready to leave. Avani was munching her beetroot. Around 10:40 am, Mumma said bye to Avani and the small baby burst out crying. She was seated in her booster chair and must have felt terribly lonely. Lakshmi got her out quickly and gave her to Papa. Avani soothed down once she was in Papa’s arms. She played and roamed around with him and was soon smiling at herself in the mirror. Papa carried her in the side-along position - face-down baby supported horizontally on Papa’s side with his arm around her waist and his palm facing upwards and supporting her chest. This was to help her clean her hands off beetroot at the basin. Papa finished his breakfast while Avani played with Lakshmi and her trains on the yoga mat near the balcony door.

Avani seemed sleepy at 11 am. Papa took her to the study while Lakshmi cooked lunch. Papa made a bad impromptu song about a monkey who lived on a tree and got eaten by a tiger because he climbed to go after a female monkey. Avani was not impressed. She tried to break free and cried out. Papa realized he was fooling around and Avani was asleep in under 5 mins. She slept from 11:20 to 12:46 pm. Soliwax drops were put into baby’s ears around 1145.

First 50 ml milk was ready when she woke up. Papa was standing and Avani was in his arms. Papa tilted the bottle to feed Avani and it leaked (~10 ml) from the lid. The lid wasn’t screwed on properly. Papa scolded Lakshmi for this and she quickly corrected her mistake. She cleaned the floor after that. Since Avani didn’t seem done, a second 50 ml bottle was readied at 12:58 - Avani had about 20 ml of that. Mumma wanted a pic of Avani’s, so Papa sent her a selfie.

Oil massage and bath (only soap) were done from 1325 to 1355 pm. After getting ready, Avani played a lot with the her milk bottle’s lid on the yoga mat.

Avani somehow finished the second 50 ml by 1415. Lunch was now getting ready. Avani had lunch from 1435 to 1510. It was oats chilla (with beans and carrots) and curd. Today was the best day as Avani ate the maximum amount she has ever eaten during lunch (with Papa). She had quite a bit of it from Papa’s hands. She went num-num-num and ate to her heart’s content.

Once fed, she was ready to sleep. It proved very simple. She slept within five mins of trying at 1525. She woke up at 1606 when she had her third 50 ml of milk. After this, she played around and had her 4th 50 ml milk from 1625 to 1700.

It was 1720 and Mumma’s phone was switched off. Papa got worried. Finally Mumma reached at 1733. She had visited a daycare in Raheja Mindspace - Clay.

Next Soliwax was administered at 7 pm by Mumma while baby Avani slept with her while Papa was studying ML on Coursera.
